Interior concrete floor coatings for Central Texas homes, shops and barndominiums.
Central Texas homes are built on concrete slabs, and more homeowners are choosing coated concrete for rooms that need a tough, easy-clean floor. Checkmate Coatings installs polyaspartic flake systems in home gyms, workshops, game rooms, garage conversions, barndominiums and commercial interiors. The seamless finish stands up to dust, pets, equipment and spills better than carpet or paint and cleans up with a mop. Every floor starts with grinding and slab repair, followed by layered coats for a lasting bond. From new homes in Hutto and Leander to shops and barndominiums out toward Taylor, Elgin and Liberty Hill, we’ll give your concrete a floor worth showing off. Interior floors are backed by our Stress-Free Warranty.
If your concrete floors see heavy use, they deserve the protection and polish of a professionally installed coating system.
Barndominiums and shop homes are popular in the rural parts of Williamson and Bastrop counties, and most have concrete floors throughout. A flake or solid-color coating turns that slab into a finished floor that handles boots, dogs, dust and equipment.
Slab-on-grade homes in the Austin area don’t have basements, but they have plenty of concrete under carpet and tile, plus garage conversions and bonus rooms. Coating the slab gives those rooms a durable floor without adding height or seams.
Central Texas dust and clay get tracked in constantly. A seamless coated floor doesn’t hold dirt in grout lines or carpet fibers, so it sweeps and mops clean.
We install interior concrete floor coatings throughout Williamson, Travis and Bastrop counties.
Including: Salado, Hutto, Round Rock, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Taylor, Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill, Jarrell, Austin and Manor.
Every concrete floor coating project starts with floor prep done right. That includes:

Yes. We coat living areas, shops and garage bays in barndominiums. We’ll recommend a system and finish for each area based on how it’s used.
Yes, in most cases. After the old flooring comes out, we grind off adhesive and repair the slab before coating. We’ll check the concrete at your free estimate.
We repair existing cracks during prep. If the slab moves later because of clay soil, a crack may show over time, as it would with any floor covering.
We can coat any size space, but Checkmate Coatings does have a minimum square footage requirement to come out and do an installation. Combining spaces like your garage floor with the driveway or patio floor can together meet our square footage minimum. Please contact Checkmate to get an estimate and exact pricing.
