Patio coatings for Central Texas outdoor living, from back patios to outdoor kitchens.
UV Resistant, Chemical Resistant, Slip Resistant, Durable Surfaces
Back patios, covered porches and outdoor kitchens get used most of the year in Central Texas, and plain concrete shows it with cracks, stains, faded paint and dust. Checkmate Coatings installs polyaspartic flake patio coatings that give your outdoor concrete a finished, slip-resistant surface that’s UV stable and easy to clean. Prep comes first: we grind and repair the slab so the coating bonds to it instead of peeling. From covered patios in Hutto and Pflugerville to outdoor kitchens in Cedar Park and Leander, we’ll give your outdoor living space a floor that matches how you use it. A typical patio takes one day, and it’s covered by our Stress-Free Warranty.
Your concrete patio deserves the protection and polish of a professionally installed coating system.
Long, hot summers and strong UV rays fade and peel paint and acrylic sealers within a few seasons, especially on patios that bake in the intense afternoon sun. The UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat we use keeps its color through Texas summers.
Central Texas weather swings from drought to heavy downpours, and the clay soil underneath moves with it. That movement cracks patios and walkways. We repair cracks before coating so the finished floor starts on a sound surface.
Outdoor kitchens bring grease, barbecue sauce and spilled drinks. The chemical-resistant topcoat keeps them from soaking in, and the flake texture keeps the surface from getting slick when it’s wet.
We install patio coatings throughout Williamson, Travis and Bastrop counties.
Including: Leander, Liberty Hill, Jarrell, Austin, Manor, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Elgin, Bastrop, Salado, Hutto and Round Rock.
Every patio coating project starts with floor prep done right. That includes:

Yes. We coat around outdoor kitchens, islands and grills, and the chemical-resistant finish makes grease and spills easy to clean up.
Typically we grind off old paint, stain or sealer so the new coating bonds to the concrete itself. We’ll look at the surface during your free estimate.
Most patios are finished in one day. Your crew will let you know when it’s ready for foot traffic and when furniture and the grill can go back.
We can coat any size space, but Checkmate Coatings does have a minimum square footage requirement to come out and do an installation. Combining spaces like your garage floor with the driveway or patio floor can together meet our square footage minimum. Please contact Checkmate to get an estimate and exact pricing.
